Head down the mountain to visit the artisan's village where skilled sculptors create many unique products out of marble. Continue to Linh Ung Pagoda built under the reign of King Minh Mang in the 19th-century Nguyen Dynasty. Learn about the legend of the Buddhist statue that drifted downstream to anchor at a sandy embankment. Admire the pagoda temple built by the locals to worship the figure before we keep traveling to Linh Ung Pagoda at Son Tra Peninsula ( Monkey Mountain). Vietnam's highest Quan Yin statue (67m) leans on the mountain and looks toward the sea. You can see this statue from every corner of Danang city.
After pickup from your hotel we visit the Marble Mountains which are a cluster of five marble and limestone mountains that are named after the five elements. Stone steps carved into the mountain lead to a Buddhist Pagoda. You can also discover stunning caves and enjoy the beautiful view from the mountain top. We will visit Am Phu Cave where there is a replica of “Heaven and Hell”. The Marble Mountains are also home to the Non-Nuoc Stone Carving Village. This is a unique craft village situated at the foot of the Marble Mountains and has a proud history covering more than 200 years.
Leaving the Marble Mountains you will head north to the Son Tra Peninsula. It is 693-metres above sea level and 10-kilometer from the center of Da Nang City to the North-East. Staying at this elevated position we will pay a visit to Linh Ung Pagoda considered one of the biggest pagodas in Da Nang City. The most striking feature of this vast pagoda is its huge Lady Buddha statue which is one of the tallest in Vietnam (67 meters) and spectacularly dominates the skyline. From here you can view the whole city, mountain and Son Tra peninsula. In the distance you will see the Marble Mountains along with a white sandbank. The beautiful landscape creates a unique impression that you cannot find in other places.
